Many football fans are either supporters of European teams, or South American ones. It’s easy to see these 2 continents are ahead of the rest when it comes to championships and football culture.
But which one is better?
South American football is said to be a lot more open and fun, with more free-styling moves. European football is taken to be a lot more strategic and stern, but also defensive and less entertaining.
In my opinion, European football is better. Strategy and mechanics are better than trusting your luck. In addition, I think European football works more on the coach’s abilities and the entire team, whereas South American football teams sometimes rely on one or 2 big players, which is less cool and sporty.
What’s your opinion?

My vote goes to the South American style of football. When it comes to the international stage and the world’s best go head to head – I always enjoy watching the South American teams most and I think that the true skill and essence of the game comes out more.
BUT – When it comes to the domestic leagues on each continent, I’d have to agree that the European leagues are better. But is that because of the style of play or is this because they have the money to attract the best players in the world (many from latin america!) ?
