Where do one start? Seemed like each match had something worthy. To me watching the underdog Russian side demolish the Dutch side was the highlight. I loved the extra time efforts, the penalty kicks, and the tears post the defeat. There is just so much drama that it can fill a lifetime of memories. Seeing the Spanish faithful finally celebrate and let go caps the success of the tournament.

Since I was working during a number of the games I only got to watch a few as they happened., so my favourite moment was the save Casillas made against Camoranesi at the 61 min mark of the Spain Italy game.
Everyone was screaming (and I mean SCREAMING) at Casillas to get back in the crease and the pub went nuts after he made the save. Half the fun of football for me is everyone getting caught up in the moment and screaming. I can’t find a single video of the save, but you can check this out – It’s the 4th video down.

The Turkey -Germany semi-final was a great game (minus those annoying lightning blackouts that made me miss some of the crucial moments). Turkey’s run to the semis was great to watch but so unconventional with all their last minute goals and scrambling comebacks! No one gave them a chance against Germany since they were missing so many players but they played a great game and deserved to win in my opinion.
Anotherr favourite moment was when the final whistle went and Spain won. I was cheering for them from the start and I think this is the first time a national team I was cheering for actually won a major tournament. The celebration with the fans was great to watch.

I agree, the finals and the Netherlands/Russia game were both great.
I also really enjoyed that Turkey/Czech Republic game. Craziest twist ever as far as I’m concerned.
I’m a bit annoyed by the fact that Germany played so badly to begin with and then made it to the final… but I guess that’s how it is.
In terms of best goals… it’s really hard, but I was highly impressed by the way Torres fought for that last one against Germany, it was quite awesome. Then again, a lot of better looking attempts didn’t actually yield goals, so it’s a bit sad.
